songbirds are singing, windows are open, cool breeze blowing through,

I come alive once the cold dissipates.

Why is it that as soon as I put something in the freezer, that's when
I decide I want it for dinner? :-/

observations;
I've observed a few things....
usually the sun burns on my porch all winter...
this year it did not....
even now, the sun is gone from my porch almost before the 3:00 hour is finished...
there is a shift in the universe.
Hasn't anyone wondered why we now change the clocks a whole month sooner
than we once did?
I am very much aware of this fact because I had two time-change babies...
one in October... the other in April...
I used to remember to change the clocks because of their birthdays...
this no longer works.... :-/

I missed the best part of the day...
it is getting ready to rain now...
ready for the temp.'s to drop, into the 20's again tonight...
but back in the 60's again tomorrow.
Spring is not far off.

Big gray cloud just moved overhead.
and the temp. has quickly plunged...
windows closed, lower the blinds, batten the hatches...
we're in for another cold one.

Ok, just so everybody knows, and to update....
I've just found a bunch of comments in my spam folder from some of you.
Sorry if anyone thought I was ignoring them.
In trying to block the actual spam commentors, apparently many of my friends
have gotten blocked as well.
I am working to correct the problem. I hope that I succeed and I will try
not to allow any more to be overlooked.

What one dream would you like to realize?

I would like to be able to design my own home.

February flew, and March is already marching.
March came in like a lamb here this year.
A beautiful 60 degrees today, blue skies, white clouds, birds singing with joy.
It's planting time again.

March didn't march, it leapt upon us.

Gloomy and gray, it's rainy today

Mad that I missed my morning radio church service,
my day just doesn't feel right without, and it leaves something missing from the start
of the new week.

The bright spot... Downton Abbey marathon, all day,
new episodes of Once Upon a Time tonight,
and the season finale/Christmas special of Downton Abbey after that.
I guess I will languish in front of the TV for the most part of the day. It is, after all,
the day of rest.

I hope to do some cooking in between. I can listen to the replays of Downton Abbey,
without needing to watch, but I like to pick up the parts I missed in the first go-round.
I can never sit still for long, and usually miss parts of any program I 'watch'.
I listen, more than watch.

Other goals it seems will go by the wayside for today.

I am fearful of the evil.... perhaps people just are not aware of the horrors, as I am....
wives and children being sold into sex slavery... men not just being beheaded, but also
burned alive, crucified....

I have listened to the poor young Yazidi girls that have escaped, at their tender young ages,
13, 15...  speak of what they have been subjected to.... I have seen the emptiness in their
eyes, the unstoppable fountain of tears, because their lives, their innocence has been stolen
from them...

the children in Egypt play acting out the beheadings they have seen, and some even being
made to watch... this is the kind of evil... evil that destroys the innocence of children,
turns their hearts hard and dark as the Pharaoh's... until this is all they know... children
that never know respect for life... only the devil wants to see life destroyed this way.

I do fear for this evil that takes over hearts and makes them to feel no thing...
I fear for it, for these people, to come to my nation... to my homeland... I have daughters...
I have a son... I have grandchildren coming into the world... we are not adherents of islam....

I am not an adherent of ignorance is bliss.... because all it takes for evil to flourish is for
good people to do nothing.... and if people choose to remain blind, to remain in ignorance....
to live in a false sense of security.... allows this evil to spread....
should we allow it to be done to others, just hoping it does not come to our own doorsteps?

We have not seen a thing so horrific and evil, since Naziism in Germany, and the massacres
in Rwanda...

I wonder how many people know of the horror, the evil that took place in Rwanda...
watch sometime the movie, Hotel Rwanda, or the Frontline program: Ghosts of Rwanda.
When the world took too long to wake up... when the world chose ignorance and
uninvolvement.

I have watched both, with horror to see the true evil that exists in this world... the same
kind of evil that allowed hundreds of thousands of Jewish persons to be systematically
annihilated.

Evil needs to be recognized, acknowledged, and fought, to be defeated.
I have a burden for this... to wake people up.
God bless and save us all.

Honestly... with all the politicking going on...
... with the rise of such evil in the world as we are seeing....
I almost feel... let Iran build their nuclear weapon... why not?
Let them strike the blow that causes the rest of the world to blow up...
then we will see truth.
The world is beyond saving itself.
I can not, anymore, bear knowing the evil that exists and is taking place.

Washington Week....
How can anyone, I don't care if they are democratic, republican, or otherwise,
possibly agree with presidential actions which are quite clearly unconstitutional?

I must be really spinning the electric dials with trying to keep my house warm today...

On a cold night, it seems, everyone goes to bed early...
it seems the only way to be warm.
It is very quiet... must be why I like winter.
