Happy food ... bacon...
I love bacon...
does this make me sinful?   I wonder...
after all, God at one time forbade pork... an animal 'with
a cloven hoof', but does not 'chew the cud'(or ruminate)
and then Yshwe taught;

'not that which goes into the stomach makes thee unclean,
but that which comes out of the mouth... that makes thee
unclean, for out of the mouth come the truths of the heart'

I am never quite sure how God feels about my eating pork...
ever since I learned how disgusting pigs actually are, with what they will eat...
but then God did allow eating goats didn't He?  ... and goats will eat pretty much anything too... but I think not carnivorous waste as pigs will.

Is it possible God would bestow more blessings upon my life if I removed pork completely from it?  (I only indulge occasionally in this 'happy food' of mine)
Is it possible that eating pork is a corruption to my flesh?

Do you believe in fasting? In following the ancient laws of the Jews(dietary)?
(those are two separate questions... I don't know if fasting is, or was, a practice of the Jews)

So...

Having a Hawaiian day out on my porch reading, while my
lunch/brunch is heating...
Why a 'Hawaiian day'? ...
because it's a perfect 75 degrees, perfectly clear blue sky,
and I am enjoying the incredible variety of bird calls
sounding in the trees.

(I have heard that what is so perfect about Hawaii is the
steady 75 degree temperature. )

Absolutely right.  Halting immigration from muslim countries is the only thing that will save our democratic nations.

These are the perfect nights...
loving the cool night air, the windows opened.
Time for sweet dreams.

How very odd...
I found myself counting in French tonight as I counted eggs
to make my egg custard.
I had to stop and think... 'what language was I thinking in'
... my go to is usually German(Deutsche) or Espanol
(that is, Spanish)... I often mix those up with one another.

yes you read that right...
now, most people have heard of getting their butt kicked,
but we have these awful no-see-um bugs down here that
love to attack at dusk...
now, I love wearing skirts, and these little buggers love
to sneak right up under those skirts while you are talking
to your neighbors....
so aggravating
They don't itch or hurt or anything like that, just leave
these red welts wherever they have bitten... got a few
nice ones on my arms...
I am always reminded why it is best not to walk at 5:00 pm.

(p.s.- they didn't actually bite my butt... more like thighs... still, not fun when you are trying to talk. )

Thanks to my daughter for 'happy food' (she brought me donuts yesterday, and some banana nut muffins she had made)
and with dinner tonight I am having half a glass of 'cheer me up wine'. 
Always look for the good things... the ways to be content in any situation.

Interesting, this line I just read, in the book I am reading....

*that's a sheepish grin

I feel like I'm itching for a fight

Not a physical fight...

but having that sense of general unease that just makes
me feel like I want to let off steam...

letting off steam....
I don't like the way I am right now,
but I have every reason to be like I am.  I get so sick of people being the way they are.
