Month: April 2014

  • The Lord sure has given me a bumpy road to ride through life...

    bumpy road

one day up, another day down, another day up, another day down...
I wouldn't mind a smoother highway for awhile... some smooth sailing...
maybe I need a boat... get off this land...
but then I'd probably have choppy seas...

    SOS

    *sigh

    learning

  • Ok, when I think of kibble, I think of pet food....
Kibble: ground meal shaped into pellets, especially for pet food
and that of course makes me think of my favorite 'virtual' pet,
    RUSTY ! :-D

    Rusty

So here's my poem, special, for Rusty. :-)

    Dear Rusty
wouldn't you love to give me a nibble
    of your kibble
would it hold any appeal for me?
Do you like it as much as your favorite tree?

  • Ok, so here's my combined poem... days 22 and 23 :-)

    Hard boiled eggs (22)

I do not wish to contend (23)

    Hard boiled egss
I wish not to contend with thee
when thou sittest too long in the pot
and then with a great pop
I find thee hither and thither
    high and low and yon
Oh what a mess you can be
I pray you will not do such
    and so distress me

  • So here's my Tomato's poem.
I wanted to to a 'Tomato's and Hard boiled eggs', combined poem,
but just didn't get the creative juices flowing early enough. :-)

    Tomato's

    I do love to grow
    I do love you so

    growing on the vine
    looking so very fine

    my favorite vegetable
    but really a fruit

    I would have you
    to grace every meal

that would be a deal, to seal. :-)

  • from now until the ascension..... 40 days...
    Read John 20

it is not yet finished... there is the ascension (Mark 16, Luke 24, Acts 1), and the arrival of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost (Acts 2)

    Lord of the Heavens

  • Catching up...

    Fountain Pen (April 19)

I remember my fountain pen fondly
it filled me with excitement to take that pen in hand
    it awakened me with desire
the desire to write something grand.

    Resurrection (April 20)

    Christ comes to mind
to bring to us the message
    of the Divine
to let us know the hope we have
    in God's undending Love
the One who loved us so much
He sent His Son from above
    to light the way
    to show the path
to lead us by the hand it seems
    to that glorious place
    we can only imagine
    in our dreams.

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

  • another rainy day....

I have decided to be bad today...
I am not going to start my day with my usual proper breakfast...
I am having a cup of black coffee, and a piece of strawberry cheesecake(danish).

    Why?
because it is a gloomy gray day,
and I feel discouraged that no one celebrates Christ the way they ought to...
with their whole heart and appreciation...

no matter how much they profess Christ,
how much do they 'feel' Christ?
How much do they feel the events that happened 2014 years ago?

    I am feeling discouraged...
I am in a 'bummer mood'. :-( Sorry.

[edit: Never discount God... He always sends just what I need... He sent two little wrens
that visited my porch today and brought just that little bit of cheer, that little bit of sunshine,
that little reminder, that God is always near to the downhearted. :-) ]

One pair of Hands, sounds like Elvis - beautiful

  • Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.
He is not here: for he is risen

~Christ the Lord is risen today, Ah-ah-ahl le luia ~

    risen cross

  • The weather here today proclaims the solemnity of the day.
It is a very somber gray day today.

These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:

4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.

    The heavens are weeping tonight.

  • Our Savior in the tomb...

    the sealed tomb

    Today's poem:  Ghosts

    Ghosts - C.Lynn
    that haunt us
    ghosts
    that taunt us
    scepters of the past
    portents of the future
    ghosts may be real
    or they may not
    perhaps only as real
    as we give them aught.
