  • Would you want to be the happy, smiling face of the Affordable Care Act website?

  • the paintbrush of God

    Meanderings of my mind...
The sky is especially beautiful today... like God and His angels have been painting with their paintbrushes... wisps, and brushstrokes, of white, washed across a brilliant blue sky.

~ God of wonders beyond our galaxy,
the universe declares Your majesty ~

Why can't people just enjoy the beauty?
It's good to stop and look up at the heavens and meditate on the wonder and beauty of this world we live in, and the loving Creator who gave us to it.
How unspoiled it would all be had the Creator never created humans and placed them here.

  • 'Made in America' ?

I miss the days of 'Made in America'.  Why oh why did we let all the textile mills close?  I hate that I can not find anything made of decent quality of fabric anymore.  I miss the days when 'Made in America' meant something... when it meant quality but without outrageous cost.  When you could make a purchase and be guaranteed to be happy with it.

Why have we allowed so many factories to close, allowing work to go overseas?  Why oh why does greed have to trump all?  This country is going down the tubes because of the greed of the few who sit at the top.  The more people there are that can not find life sustaining jobs, the more there becomes government dependence, low moral, and higher violence and crime.  We need the factories.  We need the mills.  We need 'Made in America' and the pride that goes with it.

  • My dreams are lately overrun with nightmares (not horses - that's for you Frank).  They are filled with characters that seem familiar and yet are not.
And waking I can imagine this whole cast of characters where the angels and those with God in heaven are sitting above the clouds looking down on us with derision and laughter at our shame... at our feeble attempts to govern ourselves without the help of God.
'These men who think they know what they are doing.'  hahaha
'... like rats in a maze, so lost they can't find their way out and don't even know what it is they need to be looking for.'

~ God of wonders beyond our galaxy,
    You are Holy, Holy,
    the universe declares Your Majesty,
    You are Holy, Holy ~

  • 10 The God of my mercy shall [go before me and protect me]

    Psalm 59:10

  • Whaaa..t ?  Something happened to my site again.  :-(

Ok, gonna hafta keep playing with it to get it right.

  •  my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast.

My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed[on Thee]: I will sing and give praise.

    Psalm 57

  • Something strange has happened to my page. :-/

side note:  if I have to hear the words 'manufactured crisis' one more time.......

  • 17 Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud:
and he shall hear my voice.

Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I fly away, and be at rest.
Lo, then would I wander far off, and remain in the wilderness. Selah.

    Psalm 55

  • Is it really even possible to live a Godly life ...

in a world where everyone else, isn't?

How many people would you have to cease to have contact with?  Even, and especially, family relations?
How many use foul language, or crude humor... watch inappropriate television or other media?
How many are living in sinful situations and expect to be accommodated in those sinful situations when they come for a visit?
God's people are meant to 'be set apart', to stand out as different, and as an example to the world... what about when the world does not care about that example... when they do not care about, or even give thought to, God.
A Godly life becomes a more, and more, solitary, isolated life as more and more people turn their backs on God.

And so it is no wonder that people continue to compromise...
no one likes to be alone, lonely, isolated...
better they think, to accept the sins of others, even in our presence?  That seems to be what the majority of people decide... and thus the slippery slope that society continues to slide further down.
