  • Is it really even possible to live a Godly life ...

in a world where everyone else, isn't?

How many people would you have to cease to have contact with?  Even, and especially, family relations?
How many use foul language, or crude humor... watch inappropriate television or other media?
How many are living in sinful situations and expect to be accommodated in those sinful situations when they come for a visit?
God's people are meant to 'be set apart', to stand out as different, and as an example to the world... what about when the world does not care about that example... when they do not care about, or even give thought to, God.
A Godly life becomes a more, and more, solitary, isolated life as more and more people turn their backs on God.

And so it is no wonder that people continue to compromise...
no one likes to be alone, lonely, isolated...
better they think, to accept the sins of others, even in our presence?  That seems to be what the majority of people decide... and thus the slippery slope that society continues to slide further down.

  • I've slid so far into the chasm, I doubt there is any climbing back out of this pit for me....

  • I agree with the comment above -we joke that the roof might fall in when we go to church.

when did this happen? oh, I think sin has been going on since biblical days.
A know a fellow who does prison visitation because we don't need people speading the world with folks at church but we need to go to places that need the Lord.

  • I think 1 Cor. 5 & 6 simply say it is OK to be around those of the world. If church folks act like that, kick them out.

    My opnion.
