"While Christians are falsely accused by homosexual activists of being haters, the real bigotry and hatred here is coming from those on the left who want to silence every voice that speaks biblical truth in the public square. They hypocritically want the liberty to freely express their own opinions on these matters while squashing opportunity for Christians to voice their own opinions.

The real bullies here are homosexual activists and the victims are people of faith like Phil Robertson who believe, as you and I do, in the truth of God's word and simply want the same freedom they have to openly proclaim and defend our views."

Those with unnatural(i.e., homosexual) inclinations are now out of the closet and with the agenda to shove those who support the Truth of God, into the closet.

  • I agree with you . the new " well thinking " exerces a true dictature in the way of life, nowadays.
    I liked your comment Lynn.

  • Christians need to learn who are the antagonists and then not to feed their agenda by granting interviews with them. It is called "baiting" the interviewee. The Word of God is truth that the new left does not want to allow to be proclaimed. Free speech is only available to them - unless we want to parrot their propaganda.

  • I have read another post on Xanga that took an interesting approach. His argument is that Law had one penalty for sin---Death. Jesus brings grace and truth. Jesus offers life.

So his argument is you cannot have it goth ways. If you want to attack sinners and not include the Gospel you are being inaccurate.

Hence, he condemned the Duck not because he was wrong, but because he did not include the Gospel.

As to your point, it is clear that Christians are under much condemnation when they speak against sin, but we are at risk of hate crime laws that are spreading all over the world. Satan is nibbling away at Christianity---not making us deny Christ or die, but take away our right to speak against abortion, homosexuality, and similar sins.

My personal beef is that 1 Cor 5 & 6 and Gal say there are sins that will cause the church to remove you---about 6 sins as I recall. Churches cherry pick some sins to condemn, but scripture list more.

One example, Acts 5--Ananias and his wife were killed in church due to hypocrisy. Ever seen anyone removed from church due to sin or suddenly die due to hypocrisy?

    Merry Christmas, Lynn. lol
