in the news tonight
Ice caves on lake Michigan... so cool
In weather like this I am so thankful that my mother is living in Florida.
(on the news was an elderly woman found lying deceased/frozen not far from
her car that had gotten stuck on the road.)
I will be wrapping up in my nice warm fleece, feels like a blanket robe, later tonight.
other news:
Yay counter culture.... Apparently the Oscar's got record low viewing last night.
I hope that is because so many felt that Downton Abbey had more to offer them.
We need a shift in culture.

so sad ~
The ice caves are interesting but unlike the "adventurer" who went exploring, I've got more common sense than to wander out onto the ice in this weather...
lol - looking at those stalactites did make me nervous.
The best part of the Oscars last night was the performance by Lady GaGa. lol
Those ice caves are really neat! Snow is one of the best insulators. I guess next winter I'll build an igloo! I don't feel like it this year. I heard about the lady that was frozen. We had some baby goats that got frozen too.
I never watch any of those fake people shows. I really hate all the 'fakeness'. I hear the highlights the next day.
I never watch any of those award shows either... and couldn't care less
about hearing about them the next day either... I don't understand why
people care about awards given to these actors and performers.
I loved building igloos when I was a kid... by the time we were done
though they didn't do much in terms of feeling warm inside... lol
Always had to go in the house and sit in front of the space heater to
thaw our toes.
This is a news: caves of ice in a lake ;
But we have to take care to the cold . Look at this poor woman/

Ha! I like Frank's comment!
It was good to see her, and so sad she can't sing anymore.

Lady Gaga sang the songs from The Sound of Music (I think it's the 50th anniversary of that movie) and did a good job. Then Julie Andrews came out on stage and talked.
I loved the movie The Sound of Music since childhood!
Downton Abbey IS better than most shows!
HUGS!!!
PS...I wrote a WordPress blog about a book that impacted my life positively!
I watched Downton Abbey. But after that was over, I did get to watch a little of the Oscar night.
