  • Unknown answers to questions #2

Another odd thing I don't know the answer to and have always wondered about....

What keeps rain from going down chimneys?

    in other notes:
I had a glimpse of the heron again today as it sailed past my windows.
It had been quite some time since I'd seen him last.

  • Most chimneys utilize a flue cap.

  • Good Morning, Lynn.

It does go down chimneys, but your first comment seems to know why it is not a threat.

I first thought you wrote herion. lol

Hope you have a nice Sunday. I feel good. I got to sleep on my side of the bed.

  • a flue cap ~ but some gets in ours anyway if there is a strong wind ~

  • We don't have enough rain to get down the chimney!

  • Rain enters the chimneys if they are not protected and more yet if they is not fire in the stove or fireplace to dry.
    Great question,Lynn.

  • A flea and a fly in a flue
We're imprisoned, so what could they do?
Said the fly, "Let us flee!"
"Let us fly!" said the flea
So they flew through a flaw in the flue!

    You ask GREAT questions!
    HUGS!!! ;-)
