I've just discovered that the little brown Thrasher
that visits my porch, likes to sleep here...
especially it seems, when it has been raining.
There's a little nook up in the corner,
where the fire sprinkler is, that he uses like a nest.
Aw, that is so wonderful!
I love when the little creatures find creative places of safety, especially during storms.
I love having the toads and bunnies come up and hang out on my porch in the Summer!

We have two spiders which have built webs on the rear view mirrors of our car. The other day we were on a trip, and there was a fly caught in "my" web. Even though we were rolling along at a pretty fast clip, I watched that little spider make his way out on the web to wrap up and secure the fly! Amazing! Of course, I would like birds better, but we only seem to have spider visitors!
Hi Mae, I have my little bird... but he's not eating my spiders. I've got spider webs and spiders like crazy this summer. Evidently all my lizards that kept my porch clean, have been chased away. I haven't seen a single lizard this summer. I love the lizards.

we get the neighbor's black cat come sit on our porch swing under the shade canopy of vines from the trellis.
