  • I just saw the most amazing thing -
I had been sitting, reading, marveling at the two mourning doves that were back,
sitting on the same branch, in the same tree, as a few days ago,
contemplating God and His mystery -
I had just convinced myself that I must pick up and go in - move my body,
get out of the chill - and there it appeared -
color in the clouds - a spot of color -
a spot that opened up... the briefest bright opening... but the color remained...
a mini-rainbow (or rather a piece of, so more accurately, a prism)...
in the center of a cloud today.
I had to blink many times to assure myself of what I was seeing.  (God's covenant)
It remained for several minutes.  Then I came in... still pondering.

    It was alot like this...

    cloud prism

    It was truly Awe-some.

  • I think that's supposed to mean a change in the weather. I hope our gets warm soon! I hope God was telling you that warm is on the way? :-)

  • My wife loves rainbows and what it means to Christians.

  • That is awesome!
Rainbows, the sky, the clouds, the sun...all blessings from God!
:-) I like to think that God was sending you a smile and reminding you that he loves you and is caring for you!

    HUGS!!! :-)

  • Beautiful! The scenes that you painted with your words... and then with the photo. Beautiful too-- how God speaks to us in silence and in His marvelous creation! :-)

    • The mourning doves and the prism come together in combination with other recent things, events, and observations, so I know it is God speaking. God speaks to me in many ways... I just wish I could figure out what it is He is saying. I suppose He is just letting me know that He is still there, that He is in charge, and to trust in Him. I am waiting patiently for a change which only He can bring about. He has tried my patience been teaching me patience for the last several years. 'Wait I say... and I say, wait upon the Lord.'
"Be still and know that I am God."
