Happy New Year Morning, Lynn. It may not be so happy at Midnight, but it is starting out good. My wife woke me up at 4 am and that is always encouraging to this husband, but alas, she heard a tapping noise on glass and had to check it out. Bummer.

We had 2 sets of fireworks at the beach. I didn't attend either. I just heard them from the warm comfort of my bedroom, and when the 8pm ones lasted nearly an hour I pretended that was midnight, so when I fell asleep at 11:30 or so I didn't feel bad. I still woke to the booms of midnight, but I was so glad I didn't have to then fight drunk traffic to get home.
