Month: October 2013

  • I will be glad and rejoice in your love,
        for you saw my affliction
        and knew the anguish of my soul.
    You have not given me into the hands of the enemy
        but have set my feet in a spacious place.

    21 Praise the Lord,
        for he has shown me the wonders of his unfailing love.

    Psalm 31

    the word of the Lord holds true,

    Psalm 33:4

  • Dang it, I thought somebody said we could embed youtube's...
    doesn't want to work. :-(
    On the upside, I just found the 'kitchen sink'.  lol
    Notice the font color change?  Oh I am so (haha) proud...
    actually it felt like a 'duh' moment when I decided to check out that button.  My reaction...
    ARE YOU KIDDING ME!

  • ~ and it's one, two, three, four, what are we fighting for? ~

    I appreciate what our representatives in the House are fighting for.
    They are fighting to preserve the constitution which this country was founded on and save us from becoming a socialist dictatorship that turns all the people in the country into slaves to the government... dependent on handouts... this can only serve to pull down the great country that our founding fathers worked so hard to build... widening the, already beginning to gape, gap between the elite and the down-trodden... eliminating the middle class upon which this country was built.

    gaping gap  Better grab the rope while we still can...

  • I am just so disgusted with our media, and it is hard for me to imagine that there are people out there that don't have the same feeling as I do when they listen to it...
    'The congress was thanking today the Capitol police for their actions of yesterday' ... this is what they feel the need to play up... are you kidding?  Their actions killed an unarmed woman...Was that really necessary!?  How much of a threat was she really?  Was her car going to get through the barricades?  No.  Was she armed?  No.  So what might she have done, yelled at someone?  Oh boy, good job big bully with your guns over reactionary policemen.
    Don't get me wrong I am glad for the quick response, and I appreciate our policemen but in this country they are just too gun happy, thinking they need to use guns for every situation.  I really fear for where our country is headed.  You see how gun happy they are in the middle east?
    I am just so disturbed that they shot this woman.  What happened to shooting out tires on a car, stopping her progress?  Why fire into the car?
    And now a child has lost its mother.
    I can't say how many prayers I've prayed.
    What a mess the world is in.

    and as far as our leader that the people elected here on this earth, the president of the U.S.
    I am disgusted that he will not budge to lead in the way that this country needs him to lead.

    Today's reading seems appropriate;

    12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

  • I think our president is an embarrassment with the way he is conducting himself in the current situation... going out and talking to 'the people'... instead of staying where he belongs and doing what he should be doing... leading the Senate and House to an agreement.

    He leads like a spoiled child... going out and crying to 'the people'... instead of dealing with the problem in an adult and leaderlike fashion.

    Today's sharing from the Psalms;

    When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, Lord, will I seek.

    13 I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.     Psalm 27

  • I say again...  it sure would be nice if we had a leader that knew how to lead in the interest of the people, and not of his own ego.

    Today's sharing from the Psalms;

    May we shout for joy when we hear of your victory
        and raise a victory banner in the name of our God.     Psalm 20

  • I've just watched the mating dance of Japanese cranes on Earthflight...
    it's amazing and beautiful...
    how similar they look to watching ballerina's on a stage.

  • Funny, this is what showed up on my Facebook page today;

    Obama Wants Government Shutdown to Salvage Legacy
    "President Barack Obama's unwillingness to negotiate with Congress on the budget or the debt limit is proof he wants a government shutdown despite his rhetoric, according to a Wall Street Journal editorial.

    The paper suggests that the president's refusal to compromise on those key issues is a calculated political maneuver to achieve a shutdown that will be blamed on Republicans, thereby restoring a Democrat-controlled House to rescue the final two years of his domestic agenda."

  • The heavens proclaim the glory of God.
        The skies display his craftsmanship.
    Day after day they continue to speak;
        night after night they reveal knowledge.
    They speak without a sound or word;
        their voice is never heard.
    Yet their message has gone throughout the earth,
        and their words to all the world.      Psalm 19

    sirius

    I was so transfixed by a star that caught my attention last night as I was closing the blinds before bed...

    Then today I read this on my Facebook.

    Sirius, nighttime’s brightest star, is so enchanting that every year, beginning in the fall, we get many, many questions about a multicolored star twinkling in the southeastern to southern sky after midnight.

    This star is Sirius in the constellation Canis Major the Greater Dog. Here's when and how to see it: http://bit.ly/9Rdd6F

    It was the changing colors that had me transfixed... I didn't trust what I was looking at.  There is no way to describe it, you just have to see it.

  • It sure would be nice to see our leader, lead, and bring together the Senate and the House. :-/

    The problem is, he is the biggest unbudgeable, autocrat, in the whole bunch of them.
