  • Why in this country do people live by the credo that it's ok to blame other people for your own stupidity?

The McDonald's hot coffee law suit several years ago...
suing the NFL over football injuries...

Has anyone sued the boxing industry over the head injuries associated with the choice to box for a career?

We make choices... choices have consequences...
Is it right to blame others for our own choices when they are stupid?
    Only in the U.S.

  • I understand your feelings, Lynn. Our constitution provided a means to add amendments to the constitution, a Congress to pass laws, and courts to rule on laws. Things were bound to change. Some of it was good, and some of it does not seem good. It is like marriage. The gal I married 58 years ago has changed---I think for the better.

    Things change.

The only thing that does not change is God and He will have the final word on all of it.

  • RYC I've watched some of the reality shows for years and then, just quit. I think that they get old faster for some reason even though many of them have been on for a very long time! They are cheap for the network to make, too.
I read a story recently about a guys whose vacation house was broken into and trashed by 200 teenagers who decided to have a party there. The guy posted surveilance camera footage of the event on the Internet. Guess what, the parents of the kids want to sue the guy for showing the video!!!! I found that disgusting!

  • Here I am for real now, Lynn! I have mused over this problem in a friend of mine and realized at the same time that I tend to think that way sometimes. The problem with blaming others is that we don't think of ways that we can change our attitudes and rely on God's solutions. Trying to take things in our own hands or thinking that we can control everything always leaves us with disappointment when our efforts fail.

  • So true!
And people even blame other people as the reason they commit crimes.
    Disturbing.
    HUGS!!!
