~ and it's one, two, three, four, what are we fighting for? ~
I appreciate what our representatives in the House are fighting for.
They are fighting to preserve the constitution which this country was founded on and save us from becoming a socialist dictatorship that turns all the people in the country into slaves to the government... dependent on handouts... this can only serve to pull down the great country that our founding fathers worked so hard to build... widening the, already beginning to gape, gap between the elite and the down-trodden... eliminating the middle class upon which this country was built.

Perhaps a position at the middle of those two social systems ??

I'm just hoping the democratic process doesn't fail now... all those checks and balances were put in place for a reason... but when there is a president that feels those checks and balances can be ignored in favor of his own agenda...
Well I just hope someone is quick enough to see, and pull the plug on him, before it is too late...
like they had to do on Morsi in Egypt... before it was too late to be able to do anything and they just ended up with another dictatorial government...
on a lesser level, I feel that is what the U.S. is facing also. I would hate to see the country descend into a state of chaos like we see in so many other countries. I like feeling safe. The U.S. had some really bad times in its past too. I don't want to be one who has to live through that type of thing. I guess I am spoiled... and yes, I like it... I like feeling safe. I live no life of luxury but I do live a life of peace.
hehe - please excuse my soliloquy
I hope we can improve in increments rather than by major surgery.
