I am just so disgusted with our media, and it is hard for me to imagine that there are people out there that don't have the same feeling as I do when they listen to it...
'The congress was thanking today the Capitol police for their actions of yesterday' ... this is what they feel the need to play up... are you kidding? Their actions killed an unarmed woman...Was that really necessary!? How much of a threat was she really? Was her car going to get through the barricades? No. Was she armed? No. So what might she have done, yelled at someone? Oh boy, good job big bully with your guns over reactionary policemen.
Don't get me wrong I am glad for the quick response, and I appreciate our policemen but in this country they are just too gun happy, thinking they need to use guns for every situation. I really fear for where our country is headed. You see how gun happy they are in the middle east?
I am just so disturbed that they shot this woman. What happened to shooting out tires on a car, stopping her progress? Why fire into the car?
And now a child has lost its mother.
I can't say how many prayers I've prayed.
What a mess the world is in.and as far as our leader that the people elected here on this earth, the president of the U.S.
I am disgusted that he will not budge to lead in the way that this country needs him to lead.Today's reading seems appropriate;
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

I wondered about that gal. They made it sound like a 911 terrorist attack in progress.
I try to sing that song to myself "all is well with my soul" I guess you know the story behind it of losing his family.
Hi Jill, No I actually don't know what story you are referring to. I do know the song... or at least that one line of it.
I'm not going to say shooting the woman was right; I do agree with shooting out tires to stop a vehicle, However, that is harder said than done, with a much smaller moving target, and besides, a vehicle CAN be a weapon in and of itself. Plus, they did not know she was otherwise unarmed until she was stopped. True, emotions were high, especially with of a shooting not long past which took several lives, but yes that should not excuse excessive violence, and yes, sometimes police do abuse their authority. Still, it is not for me to judge and I do not know enough about this case to try to condemn anyone. I say a prayer for the family who has lost a loved one. I also pray for the policemen who made what they thought was a rightful decision in the moment who now will be harshly judged and condemned by the masses who were not even there.
