  • The heavens proclaim the glory of God.
        The skies display his craftsmanship.
    Day after day they continue to speak;
        night after night they reveal knowledge.
    They speak without a sound or word;
        their voice is never heard.
    Yet their message has gone throughout the earth,
        and their words to all the world.      Psalm 19

    sirius

    I was so transfixed by a star that caught my attention last night as I was closing the blinds before bed...

    Then today I read this on my Facebook.

    Sirius, nighttime’s brightest star, is so enchanting that every year, beginning in the fall, we get many, many questions about a multicolored star twinkling in the southeastern to southern sky after midnight.

    This star is Sirius in the constellation Canis Major the Greater Dog. Here's when and how to see it: http://bit.ly/9Rdd6F

    It was the changing colors that had me transfixed... I didn't trust what I was looking at.  There is no way to describe it, you just have to see it.
