  • Oh my God... yes, I say Oh my God
    because God help us...
    We need God's help.

    I feel sick listening to the lies our president told during his speech to the nation at 1:00

    doing what he has always done... trying to point a finger at the Republican party

    I had finally come to be able to listen to this president when he spoke but today once again I am having to turn him off and not listen.

    I do wish people would take the time... all those who have the day off today should look into the actual talks taking place in the house and senate... inform and educate themselves about the real battle going on.  It is not Republicans that have shut down government, it is the refusal of the Senate to come to the table for talks that has shut down the government.

    The house has proposed 3 separate compromises which the Senate refuses to even consider... they have asked the Senate to come to the table for a conference to come to a solution... the Senate has refused to come to conference...

    this is about a presidents ego... about a president's 'legacy'

    the people in the house are speaking for their constituents... the ones who have actually taken the time to understand what Obamacare actually means for the middle class working person... to speak for the people... you and I... for all those who go to work each day and try to be responsible for their own selves without relying on any handouts from government.

    People, PLEASE,

    Why do people not take the time to research, and not just be led like sheep believing what they are told through mainstream media?

    The house is seeking to make Obamacare equal for all... as it stands, the higher ups... Obama's special friends are exempt from Obamacare while the rest of the sheeple are going to be held hostage by it.
    The house is asking for equal treatment for all... especially, particularly, the middle class people.
    Obama and this healthcare action is only instrumental in further widening the class divide in this country... the very class divide the people who came to this country came here to ecape from
    ... instrumental in eliminating the middle class and making us a nation of serfs dependent on their government... a two class system of higher ups, and slaves to the higher ups.  The more you make the people dependent on government, the more you have control over the people... the more you move towards anarchy, dictatorship, and totalitarianism.

    PEOPLE, wake up!

    Wish everyone could hear the prayer offered at the opening of the Senate yesterday...
    'all that is necessary... is for good people to do nothing'
    'stand for something, lest they should fall for anything'
    These are the two things our house is trying to do for us...
    to not be good people who do nothing when they see an unjust imposition on the people...
    to stand for something and not fall for what is being put in front of them...

  • Because of two reasons. One, you say that all Obama says are lies. That's a pretty bold statement to make of anyone, but especially someone you don't actually listen fully to. Piecemeal statement breakdown misses the overall message, just as a it would if you read only part of a sentence and stopped without completing it. "The raven flies only at night, except during fall and winter months." I made that up, clearly. But if you read only the first half, when winter comes if you see a raven flying during the daylight, you'd call me a liar. When the truth is you misses the complete message. It's bold to call someone a liar in one sentence and in the next say you can't listen to him.
    Two, the Tea Party leaders aren't standing for something they can achieve. The ball is too far gone. The facts are: Obama is President and was elected on the platform of healthcare reform. The Senate does not have 2/3 vote to repeal it. It's a lost battle.
    So they are bleeding us and the economy for a war that is already lost. That's reality. To cause another economic crash in the name of preventing one is counterintuitive. That's where the argument must stop being one-sided. I'm not a democrat. I did not vote for Obama. But I have kids and I know when kids are bickering over nothing. It's too bad that we lose while they enjoy their spotlighted dickshow.
