Anybody following the political happenings in Texas... filibuster?
I'm glad I had watched Mr. Smith Goes to Washington a year or so ago. It helped me to understand the proceedings that were taking place in Texas. If you've never watched, I highly recommend it.

At least Tx is trying to do what is right. And if it closes 99.9% of the abortion clinics then I say halleluyah! And if they have to drive miles for an abortion, they might have time to stop and think and go home and have the baby . Bro. Doc
@BroDoc - Did you not see that the proceedings were interrupted by a huge crowd that prevented the vote being taken before midnight, so the action failed?
That is what is so disturbing. If it had been a crowd of pro-lifers, you can bet it would not have been allowed, and there would be no hearing the end of it... but these liberals, with their liberal agendas can get away with whatever they want.
Haven't watched the proceedings. I do enough yelling at the TV. I have been following Sen Cruz and like the way he thinks. Try to catch the Gov. of Texas and see what his thinking is. Atleast Texas tries to do and isn't all talk with no substance. We are living in troubling times for sure.
@thistlepatch - I happened to hear about it because I listen to RelevantRadio... Catholic radio station that reports the news that you won't hear elsewhere. Then I looked it up on Google to get more details.
Those in charge claim that the voting started before midnight is what I read. So if the voting started before midnight it still counts. So that is where the fine line is I guess. Bro. Doc
