the journey begins....
I've just returned home from my visit with the new little family,
and now everything changes....Arianna Lynn was born with a full head of black hair just like her momma was...
amazing to gaze upon.
So very healthy looking, and loving to suck on her hand.
6 lbs. + (this grandma was too distracted, too tired to get the exact detail)
18 inchesborn on the 26th, just like her mother was born on the 26th... (baby - March, Mom - October)
Mom did very well, and so did dad in being there for his wife and baby.
All are doing well, and hopefully sleeping well tonight.
I think I will be doing the same...
but with no baby to interrupt mine. Thanks for all the prayers, well wishes, and interest.
Edit: Just visited my Facebook and see that my daughter must have not waited long after
we left to post this:"Ariana entered the world today at 5:06pm. 6lb 10oz & 18"long. We're all doing great!
Jonathon and I are proud parents! Shout out to my doula Leesha who helped me have
the birth I'd hoped for....got to the hospital at 9cm and delivered her within the next 90min!"

RYC : I liked your comment Lynn about the the history of the USA
At my beginning on xanga in 2001 I had a cajun reader . He did not stay
unfortunatly . He lived in the are a of New Orleans and knowing I was
French he told me that in the recreational yard of the elementary school,
it was forbidden to speak their old French between them : only English;
I was somewhat saddened .
After the treaty of Paris in 1763 , the new king of France Louis XV left
all of the areas of French presence in America and India to England. At
this time the king of France did not see the importance of those immense
territories. he was turned towards the European continent.
But what is paradoxal is that France helped a lot the English colonies
to gain their independance a few years later (last battle in Yorktown with
the surrender of English general Cornwalllis of 1782, I am not sure of the
exact date , I write this by memory ). The French navy commanded by the
amiral De Grasse blocked the harbours of the American coast so the English
could not provide renfort in soldiers , arms and food . Régiments of French
soldiers led by Rochambeau and La Fayette helped the Americans to beat the
english.army The french king Louis XVI gave also a lot of money what ruined
France and triggered the French revolution of 1789 .and the martyre of the
King and the Queen ;both beheaded with the " guillotine "
It is why when the first American soldiers came fight in France in 1917
(war 1914-1918), they said " La Fayette , here we are "
But I speak , speak, speak . Sorry,Lynn.
Love
Michel
Hi MIchel, You do not speak too much.
I love history
) ...
now that I am matured. As a child I always found it boring,
but now, as an adult I realize its importance, and I realize
how much I wish I had learned sooner. We only used to learn
what our country's schools decide to teach us (a big problem
in the middle east
now we are able to learn so much more from one another.
I agree, it is sad that the French history has been pushed aside.
Congratulations ~ babies are the mostest fun!
