So... freezing temp.'s all day... freezing rain expected later in the day...
it always frets me to think of my children on the roads in these conditions,
no matter how old they may be.Lord keep the road traveler's safe today.
Today's one of those odd-ball holidays, isn't it? So no mail post today? No banks open?

It does seem like an odd day. I am off today, yet still woke usual time, bright and early. No plans, so probably going to do things like spend too much time online, do a bit of laundry, and maybe if the rain holds off, take a walk.
The fact that there is no mail saddens me. I like receiving mail, but moreover, I mailed my Valentine's cards rather later than I should have, and with the holiday on a weekend, I don't know that the recipients all got them in time. Now today they won't get them either so they will be at least 2 days late. sigh.
Yes we have to be prudent in this conditions.
I like the colors of the picture

It was a cold morning but the weather forecast indicates that this morning was warmer than tomorrow is expected to be! *sigh* I am going to be sleep wrapped in fleece!!
Yes, tis Prez Day!

I love that pic of the birds! Cute!
Yes, no matter how old our "kids" get, we are still concerned about their health and safety. Guess that comes with the wonderful job of "Mom".
HUGS!!!
I always worry about my "kids" driving in bad weather, and the oldest is 55. Talked to my TX daughter today and she said her dil fell and broke her nose and had to have stitches in her face. She was stepping over the baby gate in their home. My daughter says it gives a whole new meaning to praying for God to guile our childrens' steps.
When I help my wife drive, I ask my daughter to pray for the other drivers.
Brr... cold again today (Tues). I took a walk and my hands were crying out
for mittens (which I hadn't brought with me). It was 36 degrees at about
945am, which to some people may seem warm in comparison to what they
are experiencing. It would start to melt their snow and ice, but for me it's
still close enough to freezing to be cold, and the biting wind made it worse.
They say tomorrow it will also be bad. I'll have mittens on stand-by.
hehehe - I always hate it when I neglect to take my gloves and my scarf,
I'm amazed that you are
and realize too late that I should have.
almost as cold, there in Florida, as we are here in s.e. North Carolina
(the northern and western parts of NC are waaayyy cold). At 9:45 it
was 31 degrees here.
and some of the kids are out of school ~ seems to me the ones who have missed so much due to the winter weather should just use it as a make-up day ~
