  • Petty annoyances...

Petty annoyances, but annoyances just the same
I am sure that my parents can remember the early days of television, when
TV would fuzz out in the middle of a program.  I remember.  Then things
improved and most of my life that problem disappeared... but now in my
late life, before mine is even over, it seems we have come full circle...
TV is now as bad as ever it was when it was still a new thing.  It irritates
me no end to have the channels cutting in and out.  It irritated then...
    it especially irritates now.

  • I don't have that issue since I don't watch regular tv anymore, just dvds.
My phone service however is intermittent, and that can get annoying.

    • Oh goodness... now add that to my list of even bigger petty annoyances!
I had forgotten about the phones. It is the reason I hated cell phones
when they first started being popular(and I refused to have one), then
things seemed to get better(and I got one), but now those, like television,
are worse again. Huge annoyance... and the echoing too! Now it's a
problem even with my landline. :-/

  • Sorry to hear that. My wife has me watchin wholesome TV shows now. My life is about over.

  • I'd be complaining to the cable company (if that is where you have service provided). We were having that problem when the neighbors planted a shrub - seems they nicked the cable when digging. It cost us $ but it is fixed and no more annoyance.

    • Hi murisopsis, I just have regular TV. I don't pay for satellite or cable.
There's just nothing on that I'd waste money paying for, and I just don't
care for watching TV much anyway. I guess that's why when I do sit down
to watch I'd like it if I could watch a whole show without it cutting out.
I mostly do the Netflix thing these days.

  • I am now curious what shows Frank would rather watch on tv.

Too bad murisopsis' neighbor didn't pay to fix the line that they nicked.

  • All these new inventions are wonderful but are they reliable?
    love
    Michel

    • Hi Michel, You know I was just listening to a program that makes alot of sense. It was talking about how they fear that many things of these generations will be lost, because as every new technology comes along, anything stored on the old technology is lost. We do so much on our computers and then when the programs change, then we can no longer access the things we thought to save. It was speaking of 'this lost generation'. I can see that as a great possibility.
