coffee, weather, and a quote
1 cup of coffee day at $1 = $365/year
so what about a $3 cup of coffee per day? more than $1000/year
and how about that $5(after taxes) cup of coffee?
I remember when I could not justify $5 every day for lunch(still can't), let alone $5 per day for coffee.
How much would that amount of money have helped a poor or starving family in another
nation where they must live on $1 per day.....
(Sorry Frank... I was listening to a fund raiser this morning.)
in other notes:
Looks like our weather here is going to do the usual crazy bouncing thing...
like a ping pong ball... low of 27... high of 59... low of 40... high of 48...
low of 26... high of 50..... like a rock skipping across water...
impossible to get in a groove. It's nice today(about 50), but it was 27 last night, and will be 27 again tonight...
and the same for the rest of the week, up and down, up and down....and one final note, a quote from a wise, wise, man;
BENEDICT XVI (2005 - 2013)“The State which would provide everything, absorbing everything into itself, would
ultimately become a mere bureaucracy incapable of guaranteeing the very thing
which the suffering person - every person - needs: namely, loving personal concern.
We do not need a State which regulates and controls everything, but a State which,
in accordance with the principle of subsidiarity, generously acknowledges and supports
initiatives arising from the different social forces and combines spontaneity with
closeness to those in need."

They are saying more snow here tomorrow ~ sigh ~
Our weather is bouncing too. 10 this morning, and 26 this afternoon.
I make my coffee at home, and send money for poor people in Africa.
Since I've lived there, I feel that is what God wants me to do.
Yes, I was thinking how wonderful it would be to be able to take $1000
and send it where it will go far towards alleviating the dire poverty
that exists in other places.
As it is, I need that $1000 myself. I make my tea at home.
I've always wanted to raise the money to build a well overseas.
Starbucks sells ground coffee so you can make your own at home -- I expect that might save a lot of money to use for other things like lunches!!
I'm always glad when it doesn't get as cold as they predict.
I like staying at home when it's cold and snowy but that's not always possible. Hope your week is awesome and mine too, of course.
It's amazing how much coffee has changed (all the flavors and additions and what is $$$ charged for a cup these days!
I think Spring will sprung soon!
HUGS!!!
I really like reading a post that will make people think.
Also, many thanks for allowing me to comment!
