Baby it's cold outside

Wow, definitely feeling the cold since the sun went down.
What a difference it makes. We're just not set up here in the southeast to handle temp.'s this cold.
I'm so glad I have a space heater, as the outside units just can't ever seem to handle the job,
but about now I wish I had 3 space heaters.

Worried about my daughter whose heating unit was giving her trouble just last week. 

[edit:  spoke to daughter... they had the unit looked at last Friday, and is doing fine this go 'round.  
They're(she and her husband) expecting to have to replace a part, starting with a 'c', soon... now I can't
remember what the part is called... dang memory glitches.  lol]

What a difference the sun makes.

Though it is 32 degrees outside today, it feels so much more comfortable than yesterday.

My porch, visible through my living room window, lit with its string of white lights
still hanging from Christmas, and creating the feel of comfort and warmth.

I will say... one good thing about the freezing cold... it drives the insects away.

I can feel the cold as it seeps in today, without the benefit of the sun to shine,
sinking its way down from the north.

It definitely feels like winter out there now... can't say that I am glad.

Nighttime comes fast in winter, especially when there is weather on the horizon.

Winter is arriving here on Thursday.
