"Photographer Jón Hilmarsson had braved the Icelandic cold to witness the beauty
of the Northern Lights many times before, but a recent photo shoot revealed
some things he had never seen."

I am incredibly moved by this photo.

The next one is pretty incredible too... looks very regal, doesn't it?

On Nov. 22, the 35-foot-tall St. Joseph Lighthouse was covered in ice, the earliest photographer Tom Gill
can remember seeing this type of freeze. Gill loves being out in the cold, calling his ideal setting 30-degree
temperatures and blue skies the day after a storm. (Tom Gill)
  • I really miss the days when you could just pick up a TV and take it to another room to watch
without a zillion attachments and wires.

  • more questions without answers

Can I be the only person that ponders over the fact that on the continent of Africa...
a continent populated with black skinned people... there exists a place called Egypt,
and a people far different from the black skinned people, and still also different from those of white skin color?

and I wonder who was here first? I tend to believe the Egyptians are the most ancient of peoples on the planet...
How did Africa come to be a continent of black skinned people?

  • High of 42 degrees tomorrow (Wed.) - yep, winter's definitely here.
