My 'happy picture' today...
My porch, visible through my living room window, lit with its string of white lights
still hanging from Christmas, and creating the feel of comfort and warmth.
I will say... one good thing about the freezing cold... it drives the insects away.

sounds pretty ~
Staying warm inside and out with happy thoughts... I like it... and I too love Christmas lights ... all year round even. It has gotten down to -1 deg.! Yikes! So thankful to be inside of a nice warm house. Hugs!
I told my daughter... you know you're getting old when you become one of those
people that want to leave your lights up all year long.
Yay for no bugs! well, I do like a few, like lady bugs or dragon flies, but I will do without them if it means no ants, palmetto bugs, mosquitoes or regular flies which I would be fine never seeing any of again.
Sometimes people use white Christmas lights at weddings, the little strings of luminescence do create that mystical air of beuaty and I too get happy seeing them. There are trees downtown still strung up, and the occassional house here and there that has their lights on still, last I checked. Maybe they were waiting for the "12th day of Christmas". That's what my ex-mother in law used to do.
I understand that this garland of lights brings to the soul a lot of warmth in the cold night of the winter . Take care of the cold ,Lynn.
Love
Michel
That's looking on the bright side...no insects!
I want them to stay up and on all year!
I miss the Christmas lights, most everyone took them down last weekend.
HUGS!!!
