Let nothing disturb you, let nothing trouble you, everything passes, God alone remains
I heard this, this morning, and found it comforting... encouraging... strengthening...
and wanted to share it.It is attributed to the prayer of -- St. Teresa of Avila
When I looked it up this what I actually found, and thought it ought to be shared as proper;
Let nothing disturb you,
Let nothing frighten you,
All things are passing away:
God never changes.
Patience obtains all things
Whoever has God lacks nothing;
God alone suffices.-- St. Teresa of Avila

I am seldom disturbed, but when I am I hate it. I like to be calm, compliant, submissive and helpful.
That is how I wish I could be.
Love the peaceful words.
Amen!
This is so beautiful. It brought tears to my eyes. thank you for sharing it!

Hi Carolyn, Yes, I found them oddly moving, powerful in an unexplainable way... even more so when you hear the words spoken. I'm glad to hear that you felt it too.
