So at last the king gave orders for Daniel to be arrested and thrown into the den of lions.

Without Christ there is no Christmas

so how can anyone deem it right to take Christ out of the holidays?
Without Christ we are simply returning to pagan festivity making.

Do you dream?
The older I get the stranger my dreams seem to be... taking on an other worldly strangeness.  Has anyone else
noticed their dreams changing as they get older?

the sun has gone too low, too soon, and with not enough warmth

I have company again.

and this time she is being the purrfect guest. 

It's surprising, the 50's can feel so cold when the humidity is up.

5:00 and the sun is already gone. 

morning thoughts:
Sometimes I really wonder if we do have free will, or if that isn't just an illusion (think The Matrix)
and all is pre-ordained or controlled by some other power.  What if someone else has the pen and is writing the story...
but why would they create such faithless characters that produce so much hurt?

afternoon glory:
It's so amazingly warm today - another 'feels like Florida' day -
put on the shades, stretch out on the lounge in the sun, and imagine I am on my porch at the beach,
and that is not traffic I am hearing, but the sound of the wind off of the ocean, kind of day. 
Close my eyes and listen to the twittering and chirping of birds, the scurrying of squirrels,
and even the knocking of a woodpecker (the very loud knocking of a woodpecker), kind of day.
While the warmth of sun on skin soothes.
This is what I love about living here.

Dealing with any of the modern day services = Stress
When you've been on the phone for over half an hour, and the person on the other end
clearly doesn't know what they are doing, because the computer never does the thing
they say it will do... i.e., what they say you will be charged is never the same as
what you are actually charged when the bill comes.
when that person suddenly becomes friendly and asking about your holiday, you can
pretty much figure your s__'d and you will be going through this again next month... because
at this point they are just trying to end this service call, and let you pass to the
next person next month when things aren't what they are supposed to be.
*bangs head against wall

I keep wondering if I can live without internet.

It's the people who have to manage the finances that are the ones who are always stressed.

Oh, but the sun is back... came out shining and bright just as I hung up the phone...
could that be a good omen?  I sure hope so.  I need some breaks....
and preferably not to my skull from banging my head against walls.
