I love Christmas and all it stands for, as well as the music and lights, but I also like Thanksgiving. I try to remember to always be thankful, but the holiday is a nice one, when many people gather with family and friends, there is turkey, potato and pie. Yum. I guess it's not as commercial since other than buying food, or cards, a lot of people don't decorate for Thanksgiving anymnore. I remember when we used to make a cornucopia, and decorate the table with an autumn colored tablecloth, colorful dried corncobs hung on the door, and a bowl of shelled nuts sat on the coffee table.
I love Christmas time, but do wish they would leave each holiday to itself. This year I was hearing Christmas songs played on Halloween.... too much. Let Halloween be it's own day, and allow families to come together peacefully on Thanksgiving without the background stress of worry about a holiday more than a month ahead. The day after Thanksgiving has always been soon enough for me
I am sorry that Christmas tends to become consumption Day! I think you afree with me ,Lynn .
Love
MICHEL
Hi Michel, I do agree with you... very much.
PLEASE READ : YOU AGREE with me.
seems like that is the new normal ~
Yes. And I hear some stores "Black Friday" sales will be a week long event. Including Thanksgiving Day.
Times have changed.
HUGS!!!
Ya got that right Lynn!! It's been so rushed this year. We don't seem to be allowed to enjoy one at a time anymore ... guess it could be all about getting the shoppers out there earlier, and earlier! :/
Hope you're staying warm where you are. We have about an inch or two of snow, and it's 29* right now ... yep, even the snow is early and it's already feeling like Christmas here.
I think they will start after the 4th of July some day.
