  • Today's thoughts... they're not much. :-)

I started out to say, I'm not eclectic... I'm not progressive.
    But then I decided to look up the definition of the word eclectic and had to amend my thoughts to this;

    Am I eclectic? I don't know.
    Are you?
    I am not progressive.

I have a hard time believing there is so little honesty in the world.

    A disappointed man...
"It's hard to be content, when you can't achieve." (heard when watching Inspector Morse, I could relate)

  • I am not really sure I am either of those things. All I know is I want to be in the will of God and living life in obedience to Him. I figure that is plenty to keep me busy! We don't need labels! :-)

  • My verse that explains everything wrong in the world is Romans 3:23---'All have sinned....'

The world is packed with sinners of all kinds. Some sinners seem nice and other seem awful, but they are all sinners.

It is depressing. That is why God had to send His Son---Only He could start to clean up the human mess, but sadly not too many believe He did that.

  • Eclecticism may be a good way of think in some fields but we have to keep us prudent and coherent.
Perdsonally I like to see and learn various things and I have to notice it the same for you, Lynn. This is a compliment
    Love

  • Hmm...great questions! :-)

I think I am both to some degree. I love to learn and grow...I am open to new ideas or ways to accomplish things...to work to make things better. When I think of "eclectic" I think of liking more than one thing...for example: with music, I like a lot of different genres of music. I don't just focus on one. :-)

As for progressive...I think this is why I do a LOT of volunteer work in my community. I want to see (and help) the families here have better lives. I want things to move forward in a good way. :-)

Well, now you got me thinking! ;-)

    HUGS!!! :-)

    • hehe - Yes, it depends on how you define progress. On the surface it appears a good thing...
but is it really? is it always? I believe what the Bible says... 'seek ye the old paths where is
the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls'... but only to an extent...
I certainly would not have us go back to stoning, or witch burnings....

  • I've been told I am eclectic
"a person who derives ideas, style, or taste from a broad and diverse range of sources."
    yes I suppose so.

  • I stay away from companies and politicians who have progressive in their politics. :-) I suppose I'm eclectic? Thanks for the lesson in words today. Hope your day is wonderful and that you decide to keep on writing here.
