  • Respite

    What a perfect day...
    On Wednesday I like to watch Father Brown at 3:00,
    and today is all rainy and overcast...
    the perfect day to accept respite without guilt. :-)

    Luke 12:35 (Lynn version)
    'be dressed and ready, and keep the home fires burning... keep the lamps lit to show that you wait and are ready'

    Micah 7
    How miserable I am!
    I feel like the fruit picker after the harvest
    who can find nothing to eat.
    Not a cluster of grapes or a single early fig
    can be found to satisfy my hunger.

    2 The good man is perished out of the earth:
    and there is none upright among men:
    they all lie in wait for blood;
    they hunt every man his brother with a net.

    3 Both their hands are equally skilled at doing evil!
    Officials and judges alike demand bribes.
    The people with influence get what they want,
    and together they scheme to twist justice.

    4 Even the best of them is like a brier;
    the most upright is sharper than a hedge of thorns.
    But our Lord is coming
    and now shall be the time of confusion.

    Micah 7 2

    8 Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise;
    when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me.

    9 I will bear the indignation of the Lord, because I have sinned against him,
    until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me:
    he will bring me forth to the light,
    and I shall behold his righteousness.

  • We had the rain the first half of yesterday. Today was clear.

  • I am with you on that soapbox! It's just unbelievable what is happening. Yes, we can be like Motel 6 and leave the light on for each other. :-) I think people are going to be turning to God in earnest if they aren't already. Isn't it in Micah where He concludes that He has showed us what is good? That is to do justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with out God. God's blessings on you today!

  • Micah is a great book of the Bibel.

    blessings
