The Lord did promise he would never completely flood the world again, but he didn't say parts of it wouldn't flood at a time. It is sad that some parts recently have been so overcome with flash flooding, but when areas have been so dry and in need of rain for a long time, the ground is ill-prepared to soak in so much at a time. I feel sorry for people who have their homes or vehicles ruined when such happens, like I read about online at lunch. We had heavy downpour with scary close rumbling thunder ourselves, but it didn't last too long, thankfully. Certain roads flooded as drained filled quickly, but then subsided, and for that I am thankful.
