Well if there is one thing that doesn't mind hurricanes, it is the frogs...
they are singin' their little hearts out with joy.

Slow steady grumble in the skies today...
hurricane on the way
tornado warning just expired...
just finished the run around, picking up, putting things of value in their safest places...
a foolish hope, I know
all projects put back on hold, packed away in the attempt to safeguard...

My imaginary conversation as I watch the weather worsen outside my windows.  
(edit: and feeling the booming thunder shake and rattle my home)

Soooo.... "What were you doing when the tornado hit?"

"I was standing in my kitchen cooking breakfast/lunch (I guess that would be 'brunch' )
when I got swept up into the skies."

Why do I feel like I should be doing something safer... as if it would matter what I am doing if a tornado hit? lol
I always hate to be in the bathroom(in the loo, for my foreign friends ) for anything during storms like this too.
Imagine being found that way?
Not the way I want to leave this world.

The older generations of my family had a thing about linens.  They were always buying them. 
So they had lots of them.
I have some towels in my bathroom that came from my grandmother.
I happened to look at the label tonight, because I know I will need to be replacing them soon. 
They are approaching their last days.
Anyway the label said Bamberger and Co., "One of America's great stores".
Remember when 'America had great stores'?
What did we allow to happen to America and our great stores, our factories, our industries... our ability to
provide people with a good, working, livable wage?  What happened to American pride and top quality products?
Where has the America we knew gone to?

'From that day, there were many that turned away'....
Would I be one of them?

and thinking how we think we understand these things... our science
but what if the ancients had it right...

I am reminded;

by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead

I just have the feeling that the angels (and the demons) they are out there...
manifest in the things we see, yet do not see, and only think we know.

side note:  Arghhh.... Why does Xanga keep logging me out when I leave and come back?
It never used to do that.  Anyone else having this issue?

Oh yes ! in other news:  I got to see a gator in our pond yesterday.  He's just a 2 -3 foot baby. 
No one told me that before.  I thought we got big gators.  Those eyes still looked fairly menacing though. 
I still don't know how my daughter brings herself to work with them.
