  • What a day... non-stop thundering and rain...
a very interesting way to start the day and the week...

I think I have decided... I WANT to move... now it's just a matter of how to accomplish it. I have been looking to God and believe this is the way that He is leading me.

    I am reminded today, by today's verse;
    Jesus said,
‘Those who try to make their life secure will lose it,
but those who lose their life will keep it.’ (Luke 17:33 NRS)

  • poured here early this morn too. Now it's stopped and puddles are trying to dry up. I'm glad it stopped because it's laundry day.

Keeping God in all your decisions is definitely the way to go. I wish you luck with planning your move. I hope you get lots of help if and where you need it.

  • We need rain again. Can you send some over here? :-)

Hope you can find God's will for your move. It's a life decision that isn't easy to make. God bless you as you think about it.

    • Hi Miriam, Regarding the rain... If I could, I would send some. :-) We are getting an abundance this summer. We are supposed to have more of the same tomorrow. I keep thinking someone could, and should, start a business of capturing excess rain in one area and transporting it to drought areas... wish that someone could be me. We could prevent flooding and aid those in need. Seems simple enough. How hard could it be to siphon off the lakes when they threaten to overflow? Siphon into transport trucks and take it to where it is needed. It should be part of the services our tax payer dollars provides to protect and safeguard the people of the country. (Now I'm on another of my soap boxes. :-P )

  • My middle son and his wife, felt God was telling them to make a change, but didn't know what. For awhile they worked on getting their house fixed up. Then they listed it with a real estate agent. The next day 5 different couples came to look at it. The day after that they had 3 offers, one for more than they'd been asking. They accepted that one. Meanwhile they found a house they liked, made an offer which was accepted. They're all moved in now, and happy about it. Unfortunately, changes don't always come that easily. Their new house is a couple of miles further away from us. I'm so glad they're still in the same town. Just keep praying, and take one step at a time.

  • always a big step to move ~ makes it so much easier when you WANT to ~ :)

  • Hi Lynn. I am in Starbucks while the gals pick up our family at the airport.

We moved 20 times in 40 Years.--Mostly company transfers. Most were OK. A few were great. One was lousy.

I hope you find a place that works for you.

Jesus and the Bible have some simple tough rules. Some of my favorites are:

Love you enemies. lol How do you do that.

Here is a killer---Do everything without grumbling. lol That cracks me up. Who lives that way?

Do good to those who treat you bad for being a Christian. That is no much of a problem here, but in parts of the world Christian persecution is in the news.

I know we are to love God supremely and others like we love ourselves. Good luck.

I think Christ washed all of are sins away---and did more on the cross in my opinion.

Now the N.T. says to live better. Paul had a mess with the Corintihans, but all he really did was try to do better. A few were so poor he said kick them out of church---but, with the hope they would repent and come ack to church.

I may be too lax. I am kind of loosey goosey even in my blogs.

I know you really want to please and follow The Lord. He will help you, and knows you are human.

Anway, I am sipping coffee and listenting to a baby cry at Starbucks. The young cute mother stuck a pacifier in the kids mouth.

Anyway, have a nice afternoon. I will have to walk back to the condo so I can be there when the tribe arrives. It would look tacky if I stayed at Starbucks and was not there when they arrivied.

    blessings
